Meet Katie S, one of our dedicated Cycle instructors!
Katie began her fitness journey as a distance runner and endurance athlete; in 2016, she took the mic as a cycling and TRX instructor in Brooklyn, NY. Upon relocating back to Chicago, Katie pursued her 200-hr yoga certification and resumed as cycling instructor.
Her proudest fitness accomplishment is a solo biking trip from San Francisco to San Diego on a single speed!
In her full-time work, Katie is a music/visual art teacher and arts education advocate. She is guided by her values of creativity, wellness, and community to create energetic, authentic, and inclusive spaces for students and clients to flourish.

A note from your SALT team. At SALT, we pride ourselves on being a true boutique studio, knowing our clients, learning about their lives and connecting with them not only on a fitness level but on a personal level. With that we have had some clients with us for years, some 14 years since we have been open. We wanted to share some sad news about one of our all time favorite clients, Lisa Rosen. If you took at SALT before the pandemic and if you took early morning most likely you knew Lisa. She was someone who took 7 days a week and always brought not only her incredible strength into class but her bubbly and positive personality. Everyone who met her loved her and she loved SALT. She recently passed away in September from her fight with breast cancer and leaves behind her only son, Ryan. We will host a day of FREE classes in dedication to Lisa. We kindly ask you to donate what you can to “The Lisa Rosen Life Fund,” that has been set up to manage home expenses for Ryan.
